Rick Brett has been providing dating certificates that are accepted by the DVLA for over 40 Years now.

During that time he has been compiling potentially the Worlds largest private database of Kawasaki frame and engine numbers.

He has the most accurate database for all models of Kawasaki and does not only give you the Year but also the Month of manufacture.

Please note (and this is important): “Model Year” and year of manufacture are often completely different.

In the U.S.A. a motorcycle is known by its model year such as 1975 Kawasaki Z1, whereas in most of the rest of the World it would be known as a ’75 Z1b.

The production of a new model generally starts around July of the previous year, so again, this 1975 Z1b would actually have had its production run started in June 1974 but would still be known as a ’75 Z1.

Not only is Rick Brett a Kawasaki enthusiast but he also founded the UK Kawasaki Triples Club in 1981, he is still the clubs President and has owned over 1,000 different Kawasaki motorcycles from a 1964 B8 through to most models built before 1980.
